The World Archery Excellence Centres and World Archery Partner Centres are venues designed and built to host archery. From coaching to development, judging to performance, the centres are hubs of development, improvement and elite competition.
Construction of the World Archery Excellence Centre in the Olympic Capital of Lausanne started in Autumn 2014. The official opening is planned for December 2016.
Facilities at the world-class venue will include indoor and outdoor ranges for international athletes to train for major international, multisport and World Archery events – including future Olympic Games – and a state-of-the-art gym. The Centre will also host theoretical and practical courses for the sport’s technical officials and coaches in its conference and meeting rooms.
The project is managed by FIDTA, the Foundation for International Archery Development, and supported by the International Olympic Committee, the Foundation for Sports in the Canton of Vaud and numerous other partners.
