REDDIG to represent Namibia at Nanjing

The 15-year old needed 610 points out of a possible 720 to allow him to China. With 639, he easily exceeded expectations. “Since the AAN Independence Shoot was well registered on the World Archery calendar of events, the minimum qualifying standard achieved by Xander is valid. Congratulations to him!” commented Pascal COLMAIRE, World Archery Development and Education Director.

REDDIG will form part of the Namibian delegation that will travel to South Africa this Saturday to compete in the 64th South African National Archery Championships. Thereafter, he will compete against Africa’s best at the African Youth Championships on home soil in April.

The “Independence Shoot” was attended by 29 archers. In the 70m Round a Namibian girl of only 12, Hanné SNYMAN, created sensation when she achieved a massively impressive score of 1399 points – only one short of the elusive 1400 points, which has been achieved by just a few around the globe.
