TruBall/Axcel indoor team to feature both reigning circuit champions

Mike Schloesser, Kris Schaff and Alexis Ruiz will shoot as a TruBall/Axcel team for the 2020 Indoor Archery World Series. The squad was entered before the start of the Macau Open, meaning points accrued during the first competition of the circuit will count.

The team competition on the Indoor Archery World Series is open to companies, clubs, nations and other groups. It combines the individual results of team members into a team ranking.

Kris Schaff is the reigning Indoor Archery World Series Champion. He beat Stephan Hansen in the title match in Las Vegas last February. The 27-year-old was also Hyundai Archery World Cup Champion in 2018.

Mike Schloesser is the reigning Hyundai Archery World Cup Champion having won the final in Moscow in September. He was also the first archer to ever score a perfect, 600-point indoor round – a feat he repeated during qualification in Macau.

Alexis Ruiz is the world’s number one ranked compound woman. In her debut senior season, she was the only archer to medal at all four stages of the Hyundai Archery World Cup and collected the Longines Prize for Precision in 2019.

TruBall/Axcel is an archery accessory manufacturer based in Virginia, USA. The company is famous for its compound release aids, recurve and compound sights, and recently expanded into recurve tabs.

The 2020 Indoor Archery World Series includes six events and begins this weekend at the Macau Open.

Teams consist of three athletes shooting either recurve or compound, must be mixed-gender and cost 240 CHF to enter. World Archery has guaranteed a minimum prize purse of 5000 CHF.

Registrations for the team event are being accepted until the Nimes Archery Tournament on 17-19 January 2020. The entry form is available online. Points are accrued from the time of entry and not backdated.
