Sydney 2009 World Masters Games – fit, fun and forever young Sydney (AUS) – 8 May 2009   The Sydney 2009 World Masters Games are where everyday people can have extraordinary experiences. Held from 10-18 October 2009, the Games are open to everyone rather than just elite athletes. Archery is one of the 28 sports competitions taking place over the nine days of the Games. Archery is open to both men and women and the minimum age to compete is 30-years-old.   There will be four archery events contested at the Games: clout, field (both FITA and IFAA formats), indoor and target. Competition will take place over seven days and will use five venues across Sydney, including the venues built specially for the 2000 Sydney Olympics.   A wide variety of classifications will be on show at the Games with entries currently being received in compound, recurve, barebow, longbow and freestyle divisions. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take part in a world-class Olympics style event.   Registration for archery costs AUD 220 which not only includes entry into the sports competition but a range of other benefits including free public transport and a program full of exciting social events.
