  Jayanta TALUKDAR (IND)    Recurve Men   Jayanta TALUKDAR (IND) – will shoot in bronze medal final I felt pretty good today. The only difficulty for me was the light towards the end of the competition. It became dark and even with the stadium light it was difficult. I must say my eyes are not good for this situation. In any case, I am very happy with the way I shot this week and I am even more happy that World Archery is qualifying seven archers this year for the World Cup Final. This gave me a chance and I took it. This will be my third World Cup Final but this time I hope I will win some matches there, since I haven’t won any in 2006 and 2009. I want to reach the true gold medal finale—the one in Edinburgh.   We have been training a lot in India for the Commonwealth Games in Delhi. We have shot a whole lot of matches at 70 metres. Rai TARUNDEEP and Rahul BANERJEE will be with me in the team.   Recurve Women   Deepika KUMARI (IND) – will shoot in gold medal final It’s the first time I reach the gold medal final of a World Cup event. I have trained a lot, especially this year because we have the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. I train eight hours a day, practicing technical and physical training with weights and running. I also train the mental aspect.   Compound Men   Shaun TEASDALE (NZL) – will shoot in gold medal final I’m happy. I don’t need more words. I was just trying to breathe on the line and stay calm. It’s my first individual final. I was aiming at it but not expecting it. It all comes from our team’s preparation towards the Commonwealth Games. We have practiced more and our scores simply improved.   Koos DE WET (RSA) – will shoot in gold medal final It’s the first time that I compete in a World Cup event, and I end up in the gold medal final. I have competed in bowhunting before and have already won the most important IFAA events. I have only started shooting FITA competitions last year. I wanted to take up a new challenge and see what I could do under the FITA format. I’m not familiar with the big archery names but I had heard about my opponent Jorge JIMENEZ. Luckily I shot good scores against him.   Linda OCHOA (MEX)    Compound Women   Nicky HUNT (GBR) – will shoot in gold medal final It is incredible! In Shanghai this will be my third final for gold this year! And it will be fantastic to play in Edinburgh later this month in front of the home crowd! I remember the 2007 World Cup Stage in Dover where I played in my first medal match. I remember the suppport from the crowd.   I didn’t know I was taken all BAZHANOVA’s chance to go to Edinburgh when I beat her. That’s the way it is. I just came and shoot.   Linda OCHOA (MEX) – will shoot in gold medal final I qualified for the World Cup Final in Edinburgh!? Are you sure?! That’s incredible, I can’t believe it! In 2006, my sister Almedra and I were hoping to qualify for the first World Cup Final. It was at the Mayapan Pyramids in Mexico. However, we didn’t qualify. It is so great to make it this time!
