ELLISON and MOSPINEK win Longines Prize

The Longines Prize for Precision for archery was launched in 2010. The two most precise archers of the World Cup season won the trophy, a watch and a 5,000 Swiss Francs prize.   The recurve athletes compete for the Prize in even-years, while the compound athletes will shoot for it in odd-years. ELLISON and MOSPINEK shot the most 10s during all individual qualifications and matches of the World Cup to win the Longines Prize for Precision (final ranking).   Longines Marketing Director Juan Carlos CAPELLI came to Edinburgh to give the awards to the winners. He said: "We are happy to complement our archery involvement with the Longines Prize for Precision and happy to reward these two great athletes! This is a true value that the Longines watches share with archery: precision. I enjoyed very much this event in Edinburgh, like I did during the last two World Cup Finals in Copenhagen and Lausanne. I think archery really fits with our tradition of sport and elegance."   "With more than 125 years of experience in time-keeping, Longines has a lot of experience in partnering with world class events. We are delighted that we joined the archery family in 2008 and that we have a partnership in place for several years. For the first time tomorrow, we will do a world emailing about the winners of the Longines Prize for Precision. We have also launched a new advertisement campaign with an image of archery on it and we hope to do even more in the future."   Longines is a proud sponsor of World Archery since 2008. The brand plays a key role in the results and timing services of the World Cup events. Longines also offers a watch to each winner in the Archery World Cup and World Championships.   Didier MIEVILLE World Archery Communication
