26 April 2011 - Easton and Hoyt continue to support World Archery

PRESS RELEASE   Salt Lake City (USA) / Lausanne (SUI) – 26 April 2011   Easton and Hoyt continue to support World Archery   World’s leading archery manufacturers Easton and Hoyt have renewed their partnerships with World Archery for six more years!   Easton and Hoyt are respectively the Official Arrow Partner and the Official Bow Partner of the Archery World Cup as well as all the World Archery Championships. The renewed agreement covers 2011 to 2016.   Easton and Hoyt have been the Official Arrow and Official Bow Partners of World Archery/the International Archery Federation (FITA) since the World Cup Final in Lausanne in September 2008.   Easton and Hoyt have helped FITA, many of the top and Olympian hopeful archers worldwide, as well as the development of archery since their creation. Under the leadership of their owner, IOC member James L. EASTON, Easton and Hoyt have always been leaders in technological progress in archery, introducing for instance the first uses of carbon fibre in the sport. It is noteworthy that every archery Olympic medallist since the re-introduction of the sport at the 1972 Games shot with Easton or Beman arrows.   Easton and Hoyt have been Associate Members and Development Fund Partners of FITA since the inception of these programmes. Their aim is that archery companies directly contribute with technical support and equipment donations to the development of national archery member associations worldwide.   "We are delighted that such archery brands continue to be strongly involved with our events and with the promotion of archery. Easton and Hoyt have always been at the core of the development of archery worldwide and this has been instrumental for our success and for the success of the archers," said FITA Secretary General Tom DIELEN.   Hoyt President Randy WALK said: "The efforts of World Archery to grow and promote archery are right in line with our company goals of promoting all forms of archery and growing participation. We are proud to continue to support all of World Archery’s efforts to bring our sport to the world."   Greg EASTON, president of Easton Technical Products, said: "I’m proud to help continue the legacy started by my grandfather and continued by my father in supporting FITA’s worldwide effort to grow the sport of archery. We have a great partnership with World Archery and look forward to finding even more ways to continue to grow our sport in the years ahead."   World Archery Communication
