WIN&WIN partners with the Archery Fan Reporters in 2011

PRESS RELEASE   Lausanne (SUI) – 28 April 2011   WIN&WIN partners with the Archery Fan Reporters in 2011   The second season of the Archery Fan Reporter programme will be presented by the archery brand WIN&WIN.   The Archery Fan Reporter programme was launched last year at the World Archery Field Championships in Visegrad and the Archery World Cup events in Ogden, Shanghai and Edinburgh. The programme allowed young reporters, media students, sometimes true archery fans or sometimes newcomers to the sport, to produce daily stories (3-5 minutes in length) about various aspects of major archery international events. It was the first daily coverage of archery events on www.archery.tv.   The reporters are helped by the expertise of the Hit the Roof company, which ensures the TV production of the archery broadcasts and is known as World Archery TV. The stories showcased some of the star archers during serious or fun interviews as well as back of the scene footage of our events. Various topics were covered such as the clean sport campaign in archery, coaching tips or the "making of" of a sports TV production. It was a true success as the 20 videos surpassed the 50,000 viewership on www.archery.tv and they can be watched here.   In 2011, World Archery wanted to roll out this programme to every Archery World Cup and world championships and found a partner to do so: the archery manufacturer from Korea WIN&WIN. The 2011 videos can be watched here and the list will increase as the events go on.   FITA Secretary General Tom DIELEN said: "We are delighted that we found in WIN&WIN a great partner for the Archery Fan Reporter programme. We can now take this programme to the next level in 2011 and bring even more exclusive content of our competitions on www.archery.tv. WIN&WIN immediately understood the potential of Archery TV and we are delighted that they see the potential of this new way of communication to the archery fans. They will love it! We also believe that this programme can motivate our Member Associations to develop their own YouTube channels."   Mr PARK Kyung-Rae, CEO of WIN&WIN, said: "We are happy to take this opportunity to be in the heart of archery events and bring inside out coverage to the fans worldwide through the Internet. We hope the Archery Fan Reporter programme and WIN&WIN will be a winning combination and contribute to the development of archery."   Last year, Melis BAGATIR and Robert HANSON were invited to the World Cup Final in Edinburgh to thank them for their work as fan reporters respectively in Visegrad and Ogden. The reporters from Shanghai, ZHU Tian Shun and SONG Jia Yi, are currently on their way to Porec, Croatia. They will perform the AFR videos in the World Cup 2011 Stage 1 as the winners of the programme in 2010. This year the best Archery Fan Reporters will earn a trip to the Istanbul Archery World Cup Final! The season begins in Porec from 2-7 May.
