Athlete of the Week: Pierre-Julien DELOCHE (FRA) Lausanne – 19 January 2012 At World Cup 2010 Stage 3 in Ogden    The French compound archer Pierre-Julien DELOCHE will turn 30 during the Indoor World Championships in Las Vegas at the beginning of February. He is to be watched closely in 2012, especially during the indoor season he starts at home with the Indoor World Cup Stage 2 in Nimes.   DELOCHE has won two silver medals (2007, 2008) and one bronze (2009) in the team events at indoor world championships. He has just won his selection in the French team for the Indoor World Championships to be held in Las Vegas on 5-9 February.   He is the most famous Frenchman who will take on the indoor triptych: Nimes Tournament, Vegas World Championships and Vegas Indoor World Cup Final.   DELOCHE has just equalled the French record on 15 January with 597 in an indoor club competition in Brignoles, France.   Ranked 8th in the world ranking, DELOCHE has also achieved strong results in outdoor events, culminating with a team gold medal at the 2008 World Cup Stage 4, a team silver medal at the 2008 European Championships, and a mixed team silver medal at the 2011 World Cup Stage 4.   Another French archer will have to be followed in Nimes: Gregory KREJ, a promising recurve junior athlete, and a member of the local club "Arc Club de Nimes", has qualified for the Indoor World Championships in Las Vegas where he will shoot in junior.
