USA moves further ahead in nation ranking Lausanne – 16 May 2012 The Mexican ladies in Antalya    USA leaps further ahead, while Mexico moves one step up and Ukraine jumps onto 10th place in World Archery Nation Ranking after Medellin and Antalya.   A new Nations World Ranking has been produced after adding the results of the World Ranking Event held in Medellin, Colombia and the second leg of the World Cup contested in Antalya, Turkey.    The United States has extended its lead at the top of the 102 country list as a result of the 158 points achieved in Antalya, and with a total of 3136 holds a 676 point advantage over recurve super power Korea. Italy was able to keep its third position as they beat 4th ranked India 126-114 in Antalya.   Only two changes are reported in the top-ten list. Mexico took advantage of its outstanding performance in Medellin and their 83 points in Antalya to surpass 6th ranked France by 26 points. The Mexicans pose a strong menace to fifth place holder Russia now.   Ukraine’s 69 points in Antalya were good enough for them to move from eleventh to tenth place pushing Canada a step down.   Japan’s absence from Antalya caused them to move two positions down to allow Chinese Taipei and Germany to now rank 14th and 15th.   A new country has been added to the Nations list, as Barbados managed to win 5 points in Medellin. It is an impressive total of 102 countries that have scored at least 1 point to appear in this ranking. This will be updated regularly after upcoming major events.   World Archery Nation Ranking Rank Country Points   Rank Country Points 1 USA 3136   11 CAN 946 2 KOR 2460   11 IRI 946 3 ITA 2021   13 AUS 919 4 IND 1968   14 TPE 780 5 RUS 1754   15 GER 777 6 MEX 1732   16 JPN 742 7 FRA 1706   17 MAS 673 8 GBR 1446   18 DEN 639 9 CHN 1313   19 NED 630 10 UKR 979   20 POL 585   Ø Please click here to see the complete ranking.
