Rio 2016 Ticket Portal launched: register for Olympic and Paralympic ticket news

Archery at the Olympics is soon to be on sale once again: REGISTER for the Rio 2016 Ticket Portal.

The ticketing process for the next Olympic and Paralympic Games consists of four stages, beginning with creating an account in Rio 2016’s new online Ticket Portal. Then two random ticket draws will take place from March 2015, online sales begin in October 2015 and, finally, ticket offices will open in June 2016.

Some stages of the ticketing process will only be open to Brazilian residents, who purchase directly from the organisation. International fans will buy their tickets through official resellers in their own regions.

All information on both domestic and international ticket sales will be released first through the Rio 2016 Ticket Portal.

It was announced back in September that the price of archery tickets would begin at as little as 20 USD for the elimination rounds. The best seats to watch medal matches in the Sambodromo are expected to cost around 70 USD.

Archery at Lord’s Cricket Ground was a sell-out, and received one of the highest spectator satisfaction scores of the entire London 2012 Games.

The Sambodromo, venue for both the Olympic and Paralympic archery events at Rio 2016, hosted Brazil’s National Archery Championships last November and the official test event is scheduled for Autumn 2015.

Footage from the national championships is available on Archery TV.
