Statement on Court for Arbitration in Sport Decision on Lach Appeal

World Archery welcomes the decision of the Court for Arbitration in Sport in Lausanne on the appeal of Polish coach Mr Lach, which was filed against the decision of the Board of Justice to suspend him as consequence of inappropriate behaviour at an archery competition.

World Archery is extremely satisfied that the Court for Arbitration in Sport confirmed that Mr Lach’s behaviour did constitute a violation of the rules of World Archery and of the essential values of fair play and proper behaviour that these rules intend to protect.

Despite a reduction of the length of the initial sanction, Mr Lach remains ineligible to be accredited in any capacity at World Archery events or at events of any Member Association (including the events of the Polish Federation) until 12 June 2016.
