Longova appointed Young Change-Maker for 2018 Youth Olympic Games

Rio 2016 Olympian Alexandra Longova has been selected to represent the Slovak Olympic Committee as a Young Change-Maker (formerly Young Ambassadors) at the Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina in October 2018.

The 23-year-old recurve archer competed at her first Olympic Games in Brazil.

Included in the 76 Young Change-Makers announced by the International Olympic Comittee are active athletes – including 14 Olympians (three of whom also competed at previous editions of the Youth Olympics) and 10 Youth Olympic alumni – and sports coaches, students and young professionals, all under the age of 30.

The Young Change-Makers, who were all nominated by their respective National Olympic Committees, will support and inspire the athletes in Buenos Aires to take the most from their Youth Olympic experience, encouraging them to interact with individuals from other sports and backgrounds through activities and workshops.

The Youth Olympic Games is a multi-sport event for athletes 14 to 18 years old and helf every two years.

The archery competitions at the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games will take place on 11-18 October.
