Nigerian archery president elected deputy secretary general of national Olympic Committee

Mohammed Baba Abdullahi, president of the Nigeria Archery Federation, was elected deputy secretary general of the Nigerian Olympic Committee on 20 December in the city of Yola.

He will serve in the position for a four-year term.

Abdullahi has been president of Nigeria’s archery association since March 2016. He is also CEO of Nigeria Olympic Hospitality House and a board member of World Archery Africa.

He was previously first vice president of the Association of West African Wrestling and president of the Traditional Sports Federation in Nigeria. 

His professional background is in marketing and business development.

The Nigerian Archery Federation was created in 1997 and affiliated to World Archery in the same year.
