New world record at the Para Archery Test Event

New world record at the Para Archery Test Event London – 5 May 2012   The Russian archer Timur TUCHINOV set a new world record in the recurve men standing division for the opening of the Paralympic Test Event on Friday, 4 May.   Cold and colourful are the descriptive words being used at the Royal Archery Barracks for the Para Archery Test Event.   Archers and team officials are being treated to a lively backdrop and a bright foreground as they “test” the Paralympic venue. And it seemed to work for Timur TUCHINOV (RUS) who ended the morning session with a new world record of 659 at 70m in recurve men standing.   Temperatures were cold with lots of clouds and periods of light rain. Competition will continue on Saturday with elimination and final rounds for the recurve women W1/W2 in the morning session.   World Archery Communication
