Here is our recap of our live commentaries of the matches.   Recurve Cadet Men   Gold – PARK Seong Cheol (KOR/1) v HUANG Rui (CHN/14) The Korean PARK was in the hunt for his second gold medal of the championships and won the first set against his opponent HUANG from China. The Chinese archer came back with 10-10-9 in the second set. PARK did 9-9-10. The match was tied at 2-2.   PARK shot first again in the third set and was strong with 9-10-9. Too good for the 9-7-8 of HUANG. PARK led 4-2.   The level was sky high in the fourth set! 10-10-10 for HUANG; 10-10-9 for PARK. Match tied at 4-4!   PARK started the fifth set with a 10. HUANG had 9. PARK scored another 10! HUANG scored 10! What suspense!!! PARK needed a 10 to win his second gold medal of the week! He drew his bow, he calmly aimed and a scored a 10! Victory for PARK! A last 10 from HUANG did not change anything; PARK won the fifth set 30-29 and the match 6 set points to 4!   PARK had to go to the hospital at the beginning of the week and almost withdrew from the competition. He must be happy with his decision to compete. He said at the time, “I may never have this chance again.” Indeed he took his chances on the field, he won two gold and one silver medal!   Bronze – Alexandru POPESCU (ROU/20) v LEE Seungyun (KOR/2) LEE only went out of the gold ring once in this bronze medal final. That was in the first set, which he tied 26-26; one point for each archer. He was then sovereign taking the next three sets over his opponent POPESCU 28-25, 29-26, 29-27. Bronze medal for LEE 7-1.   Recurve Cadet Women   Gold – SHIN Jeong Hwa (KOR/1) v RYOO Su Jung (KOR/2) Already five world records and two gold medals for SHIN this week. She was taking on her teammate RYOO in the individual final this morning. The latter had the best start and led 2-0. SHIN came back at 2-2.   SHIN had a problem with her second arrow in the third set, which she had to draw twice. She still scored 9-9-9 in the set, but RYOO had 10-9-9 to take the lead 4-2.   It was time for SHIN to scored 10s and she did in the fourth set: 10-10-10. RYOO stayed strong with 10-9-10, but SHIN came back at 4-4 in the match.   RYOO shot a 10-10-10 of her own in the fifth set, and although she is Korean, one could say she upset the favourite (SHIN had 9-10-9)! Gold medal for RYOO!   Bronze – Alejandra VALENCIA (MEX/4) v Ilgin KIZILGUNESLER (TUR/51) VALENCIA shot against the big surprise of the week, the No. 51 seed KIZILGUNESLER. VALENCIA scored 10 to take a 3-1 lead in the same point.   The third arrow of the third set was decisive again. The Turkish had 9-8-6, while the Mexican had 8-8-10 to take a 5-1 lead. VALENCIA did not let anything go in the fourth set. She won it again and clinched the match and bronze medal 7-1!   Compound Cadet Men   Gold – Stephan HANSEN (DEN/5) v Renaud DOMANSKI (BEL/34) HANSEN has already won two bronze medals in the team and mixed team events.
