The 2007 edition promises to be as exciting as FITA will build a platform for the athletes and the targets on an inside lake. The Madinat Jumeirah resort will serve as a magnificent venue with the famous 7-star hotel Burj Al Arab. The competition will take place on Saturday 24 November with a live TV coverage from 15h00-16h30 local time (11h00-12h30 GMT).   The top 4 archers in the world per category qualified through the World Cup stages earlier this year. In Dubai, the athletes will play semi-finals, bronze and gold medal matches. The four Russians archers and Dola Banerjee from India should also attract a lot fans from two of the biggest communities in Dubai.   The Meteksan Archery World Cup has enjoyed superb television success since its launch with 900 millions TV viewers in 2006. In 2007, the viewership should break 1 billion. Some of the TV channels that have shown archery live or in highlights include Eurosport, ESPN, Fox Sport International, Sports Russia, TRT, Ten Sports, MBC (Korea), CCTV (China), etc. The World Cup Final will be shown live in Dubai and in many countries around the world.   Setting up exciting sports events in truly special location like the ancient Panathinaiko Stadium in Athens, the Mayapan Pyramids or a floating venue in Dubai has been a key factor of success for archery.
