Judges are the technical officials for the sport of archery.

Responsible for the fair competition field, fair conduct of competition and fair performance of athletes, judges are appointed to ensure World Archery events live up to the high standard athletes, audiences and officials expect.

Using the World Archery Rulebook, judges apply the current versions of the World Archery rules to World Archery competition.

They say that behind every good athlete there is a good coach.

Coaching is integral to every athlete’s performance, from beginner to elite level – and archery is no different. Since archery requires technical, physical and mental skills, coaches come from a wide variety of backgrounds and specialise in many different aspects of the sport.

World Archery offers a coaching accreditation system and trains coach trainers around the world.

World Archery’s development department works with the organisation’s member associations to grow archery in nations around the world. The department offers advice and consultancy on strategic planning in areas of performance and grassroots development, assists in applications for Olympic Solidarity funding and coordinates programmes for coach and coach trainer education.
