Jean-Michel Piquet was a bronze medallist at the 2004 World Archery Field Championships in Croatia.

He then finished fourth two years later at those worlds in Gothenburg, before competing at the outdoor world championships in 2007.

Jean-Michel also organised national level events in Belgium.

He died on 27 September 2019 at the age of 48.
