World Archery established the international youth judge programme in 2009. Its purpose is to train young people to judge at Youth Olympics, World Archery Youth Championships, World Archery University Championships and other applicable competitions for younger archers.
This year, Great Britain will run a seminar and accreditation session at its national training centre in Lilleshall. From 24 to 26 October 2014, young people will learn the necessary skills to judge at international events before taking the World Archery Youth Judge examination.
World Archery Youth Judge applicants must be:
Over 18 and under 30 years of age in 2014 An accredited national judge or have been an international athlete (at Olympics or world championships) Recommended by his or her member association Able to functionally communicate in EnglishAny young person interested in attending the session should read the invitation letter, fill in the seminar registration form and return it to Séverine DERIAZ (sderiaz@archery.org) at the World Archery office no later than 15 July 2014.
