W1 world records broken at para tournament in Dubai

World Champion David Drahoninsky, who also has a Paralympic gold medal from Beijing in 2008 to his name, increased his own men’s W1 world record by two points. His old mark was 674 for the 72-arrow round at 50-metres. At the Second Fazaa International Archery Tournament he posted 676.
Jessica Stretton also shot a world best in the women’s W1 competition with 649. Stretton’s British teammate, Jo Frith, previously held the record at 648.
Both records are subject to ratification.
