Registration opens for late-2016 Indoor World Cup events

The 2016/17 Indoor Archery World Cup is an international 18-metre circuit visiting four cities around the world:

  • Stage 1: Marrakesh
  • Stage 2: Bangkok
  • Stage 3: Nimes
  • Stage 4 and final: Las Vegas

Unlike the outdoor tour, the Indoor Archery World Cup is open entry. Any archer who is a member of a World Archery member association (national archery federation) may register directly to and compete in any of the tournaments.

At the first three stages, archers shoot a 60-arrow qualification, then the top-32 advance to head-to-head brackets. The first two days of The Vegas Shoot make up stage four, with the highest-ranked 16 athletes advancing to the Indoor Archery World Cup Final, held that evening.

Organisers offer prize purses, varying in size at each stage.

The defending Indoor Archery World Cup Champions are Brady Ellison, Khatuna Lorig, Jesse Broadwater and Sarah Sonnichsen.

Registration open

For the fourth year running, the indoor season kicks off in the Moroccan imperial city of Marrakesh. Stage one runs 25-27 November 2016 and features a showcase of traditional local traditions, and hospitality, alongside the archery tournament.

The Asian and second stage of the circuit – in Bangkok, Thailand – takes place on 9-11 December 2016. Over the two days that follow the main Indoor Archery World Cup competition in 2016, Bangkok will also host indoor para, indoor youth, indoor masters and indoor barebow tournaments.
