60 seconds with… Alberto Simonelli

This week, it’s… Alberto Simonelli, who came second at the Paralympics for a second time. In Rio, the Italian para archer was defeated by USA’s Andre Shelby by a single point in the final.

Simonelli's first silver medal came in Beijing in 2008 – and he was also runner-up at the main qualifier for the Rio Games, the World Archery Para Championships in Germany in 2015.

The 98’ World Champion, Simonelli made a second world championship final 17 years later at Donaueschingen 2015, where he took silver, as well as bronze in the mixed team and compound men’s open team.
