Former international judge candidate Roger Garrod dies of cancer

He was a tireless volunteer and contributor to archery in Canada.

Archery Canada Rules Committee Chair Roger Garrod died of cancer on 18 October 2017. Roger was an archer of many disciplines in his local club the Selkirk Archers & Bowhunters, in Manitoba, and an ambassador for the sport of archery in his country.

During his years of involvement, he served on multiple provincial and national committees, was a provincial coach, coach educator, as well as judging provincial, national, and international events.

Head coach of the provincial archery team, Roger Garrod was named Globalnews.ca coach of the month in April 2015.

World Archery offers its condolences to his wife Helen, his family and friends, and the Canadian archery community.
