USA Archery names Rod Menzer Chief Executive Officer

USA Archery, World Archery’s national member federation in the US, has made former international archer Rod Menzer its permanent CEO, promoting him from the interim position he held since Denise Parker left to join the United States Olympic Committee in September 2017.

“I am deeply humbled to be selected for this position. I look forward to working with the USA Archery board and staff to enable our athletes to achieve sustained competitive excellence and to promote and grow the sport of archery in the United States,” said Menzer.

Menzer previously served as head of USA Archery’s board before he was hired as the organisation’s Director of Marketing in May 2017.

He took on the position of Interim CEO while the board began its search for a permanent replacement with recruiting firm SearchWide.

“USA Archery is confident Mr Menzer is the right leader for the organisation as we look to continue our trajectory of growth and excellence,” said board chair Julio Mazzoli.

In addition to his roles within USA Archery and a successful career in sales and leadership in the food and beverage industry, Menzer also represented USA Archery internationally as recently as 2016. He was World Archery Field Champion in 2008.
