The last event on the 2020 Indoor Archery World Series takes place in Las Vegas on 7-9 February.

Braden Gellenthien’s second consecutive win at the Nimes Archery Tournament collected him 1000 points – and the lead – in the compound men’s elite ranking.

Coupled with Tanja Jensen’s 600 for second place in the women’s event, it also pushed Mathews from fourth to first in the Indoor Archery World Series compound team rankings.

“This is my fourth overall championship in Nimes and the pressure never gets less,” said Braden after his win. “I feel really good with my shot and my equipment and I’m really looking forward to competing for the Indoor World Series Finals.”

The third member of the Mathews team, World Archery Champion James Lutz, contributed 40 ranking points with a 17th place in Nimes.

Previous compound team ranking leaders Axcel/TRUBall dropped to second.

The Lancaster Archery Supply team retained its grasp on the top spot in the recurve rankings. The men’s final in Nimes was contested by two team members.

Brady Ellison, the world number one, beat Jack Williams in five sets.

Casey Kaufhold finished ninth in the recurve women’s event, adding 90 points and bringing the total haul for the Lancaster trio to 1690 – a season-high across the Indoor Archery World Series team competition.

All three members of the Beiter recurve squad scored in Nimes, too. Florian Kahllund, Elena Richter and recurve men’s bronze medallist Cedric Rieger moved into second.

Just one event remains on the 2020 Indoor Archery World Series, the Vegas Shoot on 7-9 February. The results after the first two days count towards the elite and open rankings.

The winners of the team events will be announced after the Indoor Archery World Series Finals on 8 February.
