Vacancy: News editor at World Archery

This vacancy is now closed.

World Archery is advertising for a contracted news editor to take responsibility for its written output, primarily on the federation’s website, on a part-time remote-working basis.

The role will act as subeditor and proofreader for English-language work produced by reporters, compose and publish articles on the World Archery website and commission content when possible.

There will be some crossover with social media management, publications and aspects of television and broadcast.

The role is not intended to regularly travel but process content from reporters, contributors and organising committees that are on site. Flexible working hours will be required.

Initially, the work rate is expected to be around 80 hours per month. The successful applicant will be paid at a freelance rate.

The successful applicant will have experience working as a sub-editor, published writer or editor. Prior knowledge of archery is not required but the ability to demonstrate an understanding of new topics is.

Applications accompanied by a motivation letter, curriculum vitae and the English test attached to the job description should be submitted to World Archery at hr@archery.sport by midnight CET on 9 April 2020.
