First set of documents released ahead of 2023 World Archery Congress

Attendees at World Archery’s 54th congress in Yankton, USA.

The official invitation letter and a first set of documents for the upcoming World Archery Congress have been released on 27 January, one day ahead of the official deadline.

This includes forms for motions, proposals and amendments. The deadline to propose motions for rule changes must be submitted by 27 February 2023, and motions will go through round of amendments in April.

For the first time, the term limits will come into full effect and will count retroactively. This means that seven out of 27 outgoing officers will not be eligible to run for the same position.

All details related to elections are described in the electoral procedure document and requirements for candidates are described in role descriptions. Nominations for elections will be opened until 28 April 2023.

Reports from the secretary general and chairs of committees, financial reports, lists of election candidatures and full list of motions with amendments to be put to delegates will be published by 28 May.

Questions related to Congress should be addressed by email to congress@archery.sport.

World Archery’s 55th congress is scheduled to take place on 27-28 July 2023, alongside the upcoming Hyundai World Archery Championships in Berlin, Germany.

The meeting will be streamed live online with reports of key decisions made available at the end of each day.
