Archers selected for London Olympics approved by their NOCs

With the Olympic Games just a few weeks away, all the National Olympic Committees have confirmed the places for the Games obtained prior to the Final Qualifier in Ogden. Some countries still have to select their athletes and show that they have obtained the Minimum Qualification Score. The countries that have not yet obtained a place for London will have a last opportunity to do so on 21 and 22 June at the Final Qualification Tournament in Ogden (USA). As the London 2012 Olympic Games are approaching, 51 of the 64 archery men’s Olympic quotas and 50 of the women’s have already been attributed. A certain number of Member Associations have already selected their athletes for the London Olympic Games – all of the National Olympic Committees have confirmed the places for the London Olympic Games obtained so far. Some countries still have to select their athletes and show that they have obtained the Minimum Qualification Score (MQS). The following Minimum Qualification Scores are 1230 points in the FITA Round or 625 in the 70 metre round for men, and 1230 in the FITA Round or 600 in the 70 metre round for women. The MQS must be achieved between 2 July 2011 (starting at the 2011 World Archery Championships) and 1 July 2012 at a registered World Archery event (World Archery will review the scores of all entered archers to verify if they have achieved the MQS; the World Archery Executive Committee will make the final determination on any archers who did not meet the MQS). The countries that have not yet selected their Olympic representatives will do it after the Final Qualification Tournament that will allocate the remaining 13 men’s and 14 women’s places this week in Ogden (USA).
