Compound archery included in the Asian Games 2014

World Archery has been informed by the 2014 Incheon Asian Games Organizing Committee (IAGOC) that a compound event will be included in the competition programme together with recurve. The next Asian Games will be held from 19 September to 4 October 2014 in Incheon, Korea. The archery competition will be conducted in the form of a Qualification Round followed by an Olympic Round for Recurve and the Compound Match Round for Compound. For the first time the compound division will be included in the archery competition programme. Therefore, there will be eight archery events altogether in the Incheon Asian Games including recurve men and women individual and team as well as compound men and individual and team.
