Happy Birthday Dola!

Happy Birthday Dola BANERJEE (IND)! Antalya – 2 June 2009   Many archers will have a special day during the week in Antalya (please see the list above). They will celebrate their birthday! The competition will tell if they celebrate on or off the field. Today, the 2007 World Cup Final winner Dola BANERJEE (IND) had her birthday. We caught up with her.   It seems 2009 is a better year for you than last year. How do you feel today? I am feeling OK. We are happy to get closer to the World Championships that are coming up in September. It’s always exciting. We are also already looking ahead to the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi at home in India. This will be a big event for us. This year is going well so far. I hope I can continue my road up.   You were in superb form in 2007 when you won the World Cup Final. Did you find an explanation of what happened in 2008? I lost my form at the beginning of the season. I don’t really know what was wrong. However, I did shoot better on the lead-up to the Olympic Games. In Beijing, I actually shot a good score in the match. I was tied with my opponent at 109 points. Unfortunately I lost in the tiebreak.   What did you get for your birthday?
