Olympic Invitation Places finalized by the Tripartite Commission

Olympic Invitation Places finalized by the Tripartite Commission Lausanne - 19 March 2008   The Tripartite commission (IOC-ANOC-FITA) has finalized the attribution of the Invitation places for the Beijing Olympic Games. In total there were 58 requests from 30 countries.   For the Men the places go to Bhutan, Iraq and Myanmar. For the Women the places go to Bhutan, Mauritius and Tajikistan. All of the athletes have reached the Minimum Qualification Standard.   The qualification system will continue in May with the European Qualifier in Vittel, France and the Final Qualification Tournament in June in Boé, France.  
At the moment there are 42 countries that have qualified athletes for the Olympic Games. We expect with the two final qualification tournaments the number of countries to qualify to be over 50 countries.    FITA Communication
