YUN Ok Hee wins Asian Games after clinching World Cup Final

YUN Ok Hee wins Asian Games after clinching World Cup Final Guangzhou (CHN) – 23 November 2010 YUN Ok Hee (KOR)    YUN Ok Hee (KOR) is the best archer of the year adding another victory to her victory board. She won the women's individual event at the Asian Games beating the Chinese CHENG Ming in the gold final.   The Chinese were hoping that CHENG Ming would accomplish the same as her teammate ZHANG Juan Juan in Beijing, but this time YUN Ok Hee was too strong. The Korean was much more consistent in her shots often pushing her luck with the timer and releasing in the last second on several occasions. However, in the end the score was very clear 6-0, offering a third gold medal for Korea.   CHENG had beaten KI Bo Bae (KOR) in the quarterfinals in a very close match and many were thinking the same would happen as in 2008. However, not so this time since CHENG could not keep up with the rythm of YUN Ok Hee.   The bronze went to DPR Korea's KWON Un Sil who upset the young Indian prodigee Deepika KUMARI. The Indian also had a brilliant season with a World Cup Final qualification in September and her first major title winning the Commonwealth Games in Delhi.   World Archery Communication
