Beach volley champion Adriana BEHAR and the media enjoy try archery session

  On Thursday, 26 July a chance was given to the media, joined by famous Brazilian beach volley player Adriana BEHAR, to have a go with a bow at Lord's Cricket Ground. This "try your hand" session was run under the expertise of World Archery Technical Delegate, Events Director and 1992 Team Olympic Champion Juan Carlos HOLGADO.   The activity attracted many media representatives in a joyful atmosphere. This was the chance not only to try archery in one of the most impressive venues but also to learn about the difficulty of the sport.   The Brazilian volleyball player Adriana BEHAR was also present for this "have a go" archery session held on the finals warm-up field. BEHAR has won more than 30 international tournaments of beach volleyball as well as two silver medals at the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympic Games. She was two-time world champion in1999 and 2001, world silver medallist in 2003 and bronze medallist in 1997. She is now working for the Brazilian National Olympic Committee and is in London as part of the Rio 2016 delegation. They are observing the archery event.   LOCOG and World Archery are now ready to welcome the media representatives at Lord's Cricket Groundfor the Olympic archery competition starting with the Ranking Round on Friday, 27 July.
